The Alli Knotty Alder Frame is hand picked from a selection of woods that includes knots and prominent dark colored details in the grain, while preserving the natural grain and warmer mid-tone of the alder wood.  Because of the unique characteristics that wood has, each frame is truly an original. 

Dimension Details: It is 1 1/2" deep and can hold panels up to 1 1/4" deep.  Please enter the depth of your panel in the Panel depth box above the Add to Cart button.  If your cradled panel is deeper than 1 1/4", consider choosing the Shari frame, which is similar to the Alli frame but supports deeper panels.

Finish: Select whether you want your frame to have a lacquer clear coat finish, or if you'd like us to leave the natural wood without any finish.

We are happy to include hardware and wire for your specific frame. Just add the hardware to your cart and we will include it with your frame. 

Panel Recommendation:

Our favorite panel we recommend to artists is the ABS 1/8" panel.  The benefits of this material and its lightweight structure provides an excellent pairing with the Alli Frame.

Larger panels:  If your panel is larger than 18" and you are using the Alli Frame, we recommend using a cradled panel.
